Description
Well-established, family-run hotel in Morecambe. We have been specialising in coach party accommodation and individual guests for over 20 years. In 2002 we won 'Best Individual Hotel for Groups' as voted by Group Travel Organiser readers in the Group Travel Awards 2002.
All of our 53 rooms are comfortably appointed with en suite facilities, colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and central heating. We have a lift and all our public rooms are on the ground floor. We have ramped access both front and rear of the hotel.
Our dining room offers a varied menu and is backed by home cooking. The bar supplies a wide range of beverages and entertainment is provided most nights.
The hotel is situated on the seafront, on the Central Promenade, with spectacular views of the Bay and Lakeland Hills behind. The Auckland is within easy reach of all the main amenities and shops. The newly refurbished Promenade offers an interesting level walk around the Bay with its much-acclaimed Eric Morecambe Statue, Tern Project and Stone Jetty.
Neighbouring historic Lancaster offers a good shopping centre and places of interest. The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Blackpool and Fylde Coast, Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, etc are all accessible.
