SCHUBERT - Heine settings from Schwanengesang
HENZE - Songs of the Arabian
SCHUMANN - Dichterliebe, Op.48

Dichterliebe “The Poet’s Love” and the selection from Schwanengesang “Swan Song” are both cycles of poems by Heinrich Heine. Having performed these works throughout his career, Padmore brings a unique intensity and depth of emotion to these great lyric works by Schumann and Schubert. He will also perform a selection of songs from Henze’s mythical Songs of the Arabian before he takes the complete cycle to the Vienna Festival.
