Description
Happy Mount Park in Morecambe was originally created in the 1920s and has developed into a wonderful, modern, family friendly area with activities for all ages.
During the summer, the resort park is brought to life with brass band concerts by many of the area`s finest musicians. Happy Mount Park is proud of its reputation as being a traditional park where all ages can sit and relax, take a leisurely stroll in attractive well tended parkland or, for the more adventurous, enjoy the many activities that are on offer including play areas, miniature railway, natural play facility, bowling green, putting green, crazy golf, Splashpark, trampolines, carousel, multi-purpose sports surface, cafe, and picnic areas. Many of these are free.
The splash park will open each weekend starting on Friday 6 April 2012 (Good Friday), and opens fully for the season from Monday 21 May.

Brass Band Concerts 2012:
Free brass band concerts in Morecambe’s Happy Mount Park every Sunday 29 April – 9 September 2012. Concerts start at 2.30pm and last approximately two hours.

Come and meet the Easter Bunny and join our famous Easter Hunt. Easter Bonnet competition, Egg Painting Workshop, Easter Sports including egg and spoon race, Colouring competition.

OLDE ENGLAND DAY
Step back in time for a traditional English May Day celebration with Clogg and Morris Dancers, Maypole event, Punch and Judy shows, hobby horse racing, welly throwing, treasure hunt, puppet making workshop, storytelling, birds of prey display - a great day for both children and parents.

TEDDY BEARS PICNIC
Parachute your teddy or soft toy and bring it to a special picnic. As well as a teddy bear competition, our bear-themed day includes an assault course, art workshop, children`s entertainer and storytelling. Also present is a Fire Engine Display, RNLI Hovercraft, Coastguards, Police Display and St John`s Ambulance.
All donations will go to Cystic Fibrosis charity- suggested donation £1.

PIRATES DAY
Ahoy all ye landlubbers and buccaneers! Pirates, young and old, are invited to take part in a golden casket treasure hunt, knot making workshop, fancy dress competition (pirate themed), colouring competitions and storytelling. Other pirate music and theatrical events will be happening throughout the day.

COMIC CAPER DAY
Come as your favourite cartoon or film character and enjoy some crazy fun and games. There will be a fancy dress competition, cartoon workshop, colouring competition, storytelling, treasure hunt and children's entertainer.

ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR
Bringing back memories of the seaside fairground stalls for your enjoyment. Roll up, roll up for the hook the duck and coconut shy. There will be a Circus workshop plus an afternoon of fun with traditional children's performers.

SPOOKY HALLOWE`EN NIGHT
Come and join in the spooky fun and be prepared to be scared out of your mind! Join in with the fancy dress and pumpkin competitions, dance to the junior disco and be entertained by Vampira and Drackula`s spooky antics.

Road Directions
Morecambe, Lancaster and the Lune Valley is located in Lancashire, in the Northwest of England. Exit the M6 Motorway at Junction 34 and follow signs for Lancaster. Join the one way system (Caton Road) and pass small retail park on left on approach to traffic lights. Continue straight ahead over Greyhound Bridge following signs to Morecambe. Located at the east end of the promenade.

The nearest train station is Bare Lane, a ten minute walk from the east end of the promenade up Princes Crescent. The station is served by a frequent service from Morecambe to Lancaster. The nearest bus station is Morecambe which is situated in the central promenade area on Central Drive a short distance from Morrison's supermarket, with frequent local services available.
