Description

The Haffner Orchestra is Lancaster's regular orchestra for professionals or well-qualified amateur musicians. We currently have around 50 members. The orchestra is a regular contributor to the musical life of the city, giving three concerts each year at Lancaster's Ashton Hall at the Town Hall in Dalton Square and also at Lancaster University. They normally take place in November, February and June and pre-concert talks are usually given. Workshops and other activities are occasionally organised, and sometimes we perform concerts elsewhere.

The next concert is on Saturday 11th February 2012 at 7:30 pm in the Great Hall, University of Lancaster with a pre-concert talk by Bradley Creswick at 6:30pm (no charge).

Programme:
Faure - Pelleas at Melisande Suite
Mozart - Violin Concerto No 5 in A major `Turkish`
Sibelius - Symphony No 1 in E minor
