Exhibition at the Judges' Lodgings Museum in Lancaster showing witches and witchcraft as shown in popular culture from April 1 until 3 November 2012.
From early folk tales and fairy stories to many contemporary writers, TV and film-makers witchcraft - and those involved with it - provide endless inspiration. This exhibition features a selection of contemporary illustrators' work including Quentin Blake (Roald Dhal's Witches), Korky Paul (Valerie Thomas' Winnie the Witch) and Paul Kidby (Terry Prachet's Diskworld). The exhibition will be supported with a full programme of events and activities - from talks to practical workshops. The Judges' Lodgings is part of the whole story of the Lancashire Witch Trials. It is Lancaster's oldest town house and was home to Thomas Covell, Keeper of Lancaster Castle at the time of the trials.
Please note there is an entrance charge to the museum. The museum is generally open daily between April 1st and end of October.

Public Transport Directions
The museum is located in the city centre approximately 200yds from the bus station. The main Lancaster train station is within a 10 minute walk.
