Description
Historic, themed guided walks around the cobbled streets of Lancaster during the summer months and at hallowe`en. Blue badge guide, Janet Nelson and her team, explore the fascinating history of Lancaster and bring to life the events and moments which make Lancaster such an interesting city.
All walks start at the main gateway to Lancaster Castle at 7.30pm. Get there early and buy your tickets at the start of the walk. Walks last aproximately 90 minutes. Tickets £4 for adults, £1 for children. No booking required.

Thursday and Sunday Evenings - The Pendle Witches Walk:
In 1612, the second largest execution for witchcraft in England took place at Lancaster. An event which has spawned countless books and theories ever since. Who were the Pendle Witches and how did they come to meet their terrible fate 400 years ago? Find out on this tour through the ancient streets of Lancaster.

Slave Traders Trail - Wednesday Evenings:
Lancaster had the largest slave trading community outside London, Liverpool and Bristol in the 1700's. In this bicentenery year of its Abolition, come on this tour to find out more about the slave traders and how they operated the African trade from Lancaster.

Road Directions
Exit M6 at junction 33 or 34 and following the tourist signs through the one way system to Lancaster Castle. On road parking is available on Castle Hill.
