Description

This year’s concerts start on 29 April with the ever-popular Morecambe Band. The season continues throughout the summer every Sunday, up to and including 9 September.
Over the course of the season, the series will feature the very best of brass, drawn from across the North West. The concerts commence at 2.30pm and are free of charge, but donations are most welcome.
Situated at the east end of Morecambe’s promenade, Happy Mount Park provides a perfect setting for the concerts and is proud of its reputation offering attractions for all ages. As well as enjoying the music, visitors can take a stroll through the attractive parkland setting, sample the delights of the varied menu at the Café in the Park or visit one of the park’s other attractions, such as the ever-popular Splash Park.

NB. In poor weather, the bands may perform in the cafe.

Road Directions

Morecambe, Lancaster and the Lune Valley is located in Lancashire, in the Northwest of England. Exit the M6 Motorway at Junction 34 and follow signs for Lancaster. Join the one way system (Caton Road) and pass small retail park on left on approach to traffic lights. Continue straight ahead over Greyhound Bridge following signs to Morecambe. Located at the east end of the promenade.

Public Transport Directions

The nearest train station is Bare Lane, a ten minute walk from the east end of the promenade up Princes Crescent. The station is served by a frequent service from Morecambe to Lancaster. The nearest bus station is Morecambe which is situated in the central promenade area on Central Drive a short distance from Morrison's supermarket, with frequent local services available.
Buses 3 and 4 stop near Happy Mount Park. As the bus turns onto the promenade, from driving through Bare, this is the bus stop that is needed to get off at. Taxis are available.For further information contact traveline on 0871 200 2233 or visit traveline.org.uk.
