There are also our famous Myerscough Gardens with over an acre of themed borders, lawns, ponds and trees ideally suited for leisurely exploration on a fine day. Alternatively why not pop in to the Garden House Tea Room, which overlooks the Gardens, and enjoy a fine range of teas, coffees, cakes, sandwiches and panninis.
Take an exotic trip to the tropics -
The Plant World complex is split into several zones. These include the Tropical Zone, where visitors can see plants such as bananas growing over a tranquil pool, the Edible Zone where coffee plants, citrus, pineapples and ginger grow, the Flowering and Foliage Zones and the Temperate Zone which provides a warmer atmosphere for foreign plants to develop.
For some creative inspiration, visitors are welcome to walk around the extensive landscaped and woodland gardens. Within Plant World you will find the Plant Centre, selling an interesting range of plants, most of which are produced in our own nursery as well as quality garden sundries and accessories. Here people can browse at their leisure and even obtain advice from professional horticulturists. Many of the plants available for sale can be seen as mature specimens within the Plant Zones.
Plant World is open seven days a week, all year round (apart from over the Christmas and New Year Holiday Period) and admission is free. Groups are welcome although we would appreciate advance notification to ensure that your visit is an enjoyable one! Full tours can be arranged for a small fee.
