Lancaster Leisure Park & GB Antiques Centre
Lancaster Leisure Park is home to the GB Antiques and Furniture Centre, as well as the Original Factory Outlet shop selling clothes and homewares (and much more), Country Style Meats Farm Shop, the new Giggles Play and Adventure centre. There is also a tearoom / cafe selling drinks, snacks and lunches.
New at the Leisure Park is Giggles - a brand new, state of the art, indoor, soft play and party venue offers safe, clean, fun for children up to 12 years old. Complete with a state of the art kitchen, good toilets and baby change facilities the new centre houses 2 frames – a huge one for older children and exactly the same in miniature for toddlers. There’s an enclosed sports area, climbing walls, tunnels, slides, bridges and a fabulous separate flat area for go-karts, trikes and ride on’s.
Admission is simple: You only pay for kids who play! Adults are free, children under 11 months are free (accompanying paying children) and Giggles offer a meal deal which includes play, a soft drink and a hot meal.
Open Monday to Friday 09.30 - 6pm and at the weekend from 10an til 6.30pm. The cost is £3.50 per child during term time and £4 in the holidays. Meal deals cost £5.
After out growing their old premises on Lansil Industrial Estate, Lancaster Brewery have moved into the 2 acre site at the back of the court yard, and are offering guided tours and special events, as well as brewing their delicious beer on site. They’ve a fantastic bar and visitor centre at the front of the building, while the brewing all takes place behind. For just £15, visitors get a lively and entertaining guided tour and can indulge themselves with a selection of local cheeses, cold meats and of course generous tastings of the famous local brew!
The centre piece of the Park is still GB Antiques Centre. Established in 1990, GB Antiques centre is now one of the country’s biggest indoor antiques and furniture centres, housing over 85 dealers in 40,000 square feet. All undercover and on one level, visitors can literally browse for hours through elegant porcelain, beautiful furniture, pottery, glassware, paintings and memorabilia.
There are plans later in the year for a large modern restaurant, which will be housed in a stunning orangery selling produce from the farm shop.
