A stroll around Heysham Village and Heysham Head

All kinds of different people enjoy the attractions and entertainment on offer in Lancaster, Morecambe and the Lune Valley. Which kind are you?

Culture Vulture - You like the city life - a perfect day is a stroll around Lancaster's boutique shops, a latte in a hidden coffee shop, and a leisurely browse round an exhibition. Then in the evening, a relaxing glass of wine, a visit to a new play or film, a cosy bistro meal.

Outdoor Explorer - You can't wait to discover the wide open spaces and hidden corners of the sweeping Lune Valley. Rounding a corner and coming across a beautiful scene, feeling the spray of the sea air on a coastal hike, quietly getting close to nature watching a family of birds feed. Or feeling the buzz as you dip into a new sport or adventure experience.

Those who love Lore and Legends search for reflections of the past amongst the bright lights of today's city. Lost in momentous stories of royalty, industry and battle, or grim tales of witches, murderers, and thieves, you have to drag yourself back to the present to get down to the serious business of enjoying a family meal in one of Lancaster's many restaurants!

What's better than Seaside Fun with the family? The children race along the golden sands, challenging mum and dad to a sand-castle building competition. On a walk along the promenade you come across interesting artworks, shapes, sculptures and fountains. Then it's all back for creamy dairy ice-cream, with sticky, drippy raspberry sauce...
