Universal and Particular: The art of Sundar Walker. This excellent and compelling display will exhibit between 4th October and 8th November at the Lancaster City Museum. Discover the sun drenched colours of local artist Sundar Walker in this exciting one woman exhibition. Much of the work that willbe displayed has been inspired by the local landscape and influenced by philosophy, spirituality and her concerns about social and environmental issues. Despite being born in India, Britain has been her home since the late 1950’s and her work shows a mixture of concepts, styles and methods of the western artists she so admires with the explosion of colours and traditional symbolism from South Asia traditional art.
