Fly over to Morecambe's annual celebration of the seaside!

Over the weekend, the promenade will be taken over once again by fairground attractions, innovative street entertainers and musicians performing their acts.

Bjorn the polar bearHave you ever seen a Polar bear on Morecambe promenade? Well, come along to the seaside festival and meet Bjorn the Polar bear. Bjorn is a very life like bear realised using the latest pod puppet technology.

He likes to get up close to the crowd, whilst his Inuit-styled handler tells you all about the life of Polar bears and answers any of your questions.

From Polar bears to the inside of a whale’s belly - visit the amazing theatre space of a mariners’ museum inside the belly of a whale. Visit inside the whale and see a living museum of deep sea wonders.

Or why not have a chat with an extraordinary walkabout puppet act who comically and adorably are trying to understand the modern world.

Seafaring folk Hodman and Sally

On the Sunday, look out on the promenade for the cavalcade of vintage cars arriving as we welcome the 22nd Bradford to Morecambe Historic Vehicle Run or look high into the sky for the fantastic Battle of Britain flyover display performed by the RAF.

As well as a host of music on the promenade arena, The Platform will also be entertaining a festival of light music, footloose dance orchestra and a Last Night of the Proms concert.

Circo Rum Ba Ba and the amazing whaleFor the full festival programme you can also pop in or call Morecambe Visitor Information Centre on (01524) 582808 or visit www.lancaster.gov.uk/seaside
