Award winning Leighton Hall is the lived-in house of the famous furniture making Gillow dynasty. A visit to Leighton is an opportunity to unravel the fascinating past of this ancient, Lancashire family, to wander through the spectacular grounds and pretty gardens and to witness breathtaking displays from trained birds of prey. As well as the house and grounds, Leighton has a children’s play area and caterpillar maze, plant conservatory and charming tea rooms
Leighton Hall can be found in the north of Lancashire, just outside Carnforth, a few miles from the city of Lancaster nestling in a bowl of parkland against a backdrop of English Lake District hills.
The Hall is open to the general public from May to September, but pre booked groups and private parties are welcome all year round. Parking is free.
Open May - September, 2pm to 5pm, Tuesday - Friday (also Bank Holiday
Sundays & Mondays). August only, 12.30pm to 5pm, Tuesday - Friday & Sunday (also Bank Holiday Monday). Groups of 25 or more are welcome all year round, by prior arrangement. Birds of prey fly at 3:30 (weather permitting)
